Creative Challenge!

Just wanted to put in shameless plug for some creative competitions I will be taking part in over at the Happener.

Hopefully some of my submissions will be picked. :)

My entry:
People run like it's the end of the world. 
Push past me, jostle, bustle... 
It leaves me feeling small and angry. 

I try to turn but fate seems to want to go left.
So I am left lumbering, stumbling, trying to push... 
The crowd bears down, tuts, shake their heads at me. 

I want to swing for them, lash out, get out... 
Where is the checkout? 
Shopping isn't fun!

It can't be all bad being a gamer...

Felt like sharing another TED talk. I always find the most inspiring things. So apparently video games have positive effects on eyesight and could make you a better driver. Its a shame they only focused on action games but is really interesting food for thought.

Random poetry

Wrote a poem and felt like sharing:

Free form thoughts can't float in an unfinished bathroom. 

Time melts the air like a rusted spoon, 

it spins out of control and then on to the next persons life it wants to mess with. 

To draw awkward patterns on the moments like the sound of a cats claws or the incongruity of some one not you wearing your hat. 

I guess life is full of little oddities like these and all one can do is to try and not fall off the spoon.

It's finally happening!

As a small child I was promised V.R. headsets by both Sega and Nintendo... I grew and games got slowly better and more advanced with things like motion control and haptic feedback. However more and more devices can now do what I have dreamed of for the best part of my life. We are finally making huge leaps into the world of augmented reality! I felt I should blog about this because its not often that a dream becomes full blown fact and despite I have waited most of my life it really hasn't taken that long on reflection to get to this point. Blink these days and moments like this may pass you by...

Phoney Blogging

Ok so after a lot of faff i now have a smart phone... hopefully i will blog more now... we shall see

Lol cats! Memes and my kitty...

Ok so this may sound crazy but my Dissertation for uni heavily features net memes and one of my favorite examples of a net meme has to be lol cats!

So I decided to make a lol and have my cat be the star. You can find his lol HERE.

The lol-builder was very easy to use. I took the photo of Godric Dagda (my kitty) myself on my 3megapix phone camera!

So yes with all the meme related research and writing I have been doing I thought I would actually get involved.
